About Me
Santoso Resin Art is the creation of Patricia Santoso. I am an artist who has come back to art after pursuing a professional career as a Clinical Psychologist. Whilst both may on the outset seem like two different paths, for me, they are simply different expressions of who I am, what I have come to learn and what I notice about people, places and life. These are the things that inspire my artworks. In particular, I am very interested in nature, human qualities and interaction. What we know of people is that we have a core, something that captures the essence of who we are. However, in the presence of other people or things, we become fluid, we merge with things external to us, yet it is how this changes us within that makes us unique and individual.
Resin and ink are fluid elements. For my artistic expression, I enjoy working with this medium. Combined, they create movement and a dynamic that symbolises nature, people and relationships.

As an artist, my desire to create and my love for colours and fluidity are all captured in my artworks. The other part of who I am is my dedication to the emotional and psychological wellness of human beings. This role I play, is one of Clinical Psychologist. It is through this that I am able to work alongside others who invite me to create meaningful change in their lives. It is a great privilege to be able to merge both professions and express my creativity across different avenues.
Most Australians have some experience with anxiety and depression, whether it is personal or via family, friends or work colleagues. beyondblue’s work is aimed at achieving an Australian community that understands depression and anxiety, empowering all Australians, at any life-stage, to seek help. beyondblue raises awareness, reduces stigma and ensures people have access to the information they need to support recovery, management and resilience.
A donation of 10% of the sale of my artwork will be devoted to this incredibly worthy organisation, beyondblue Hope. Recovery. Resilience.
